 Jacques Lorquet |
| Jacques Lorquet was appointed Chair of the Canadian Section of the International St. Lawrence River Board of Control on February 29, 2000. He is the Director of the Navigation Systems Branch of the Canadian Coast Guard. Before moving to the Canadian Coast Guard Headquarters in 1984, Mr. Lorquet occupied many positions in the Canadian Coast Guard's Laurentian Region. He was successively responsible for major construction projects, dredging projects on the St. Lawrence River, and was responsible for the administration of 53 public harbours and ports in the Province of Quebec. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Laval University. Mr. Lorquet also represents the Canadian Coast Guard on the Operations Committee of the International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities (IALA). |
