 Robert (Bob) P. Metcalfe |
| On
behalf of the Ontario Ministry of Natural
Resources, Bob was appointed to the Board on
December 2000. Prior to his appointment, he
served the Board as the Canadian Co-chair of the
Committee on River Gauging and member of the
Working Committee since November 1989.
During his career, Bob has worked on the
Great Lakes and Ontario tributary rivers and
lakes. His experience includes environmental
studies at nuclear and fossil generating stations,
hydraulic and power studies for hydroelectric
development and operation, hydroelectric water
management throughout the province, including the
Great Lakes, water level and streamflow
gauging, hydraulic turbine testing, and
communications with the public. He is a 1971
graduate of the University of Toronto with a
Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Civil
Engineering. Bob is currently a Technology
Coordinator with CEA Technologies Inc, an
Ontario Branch Director with the Canadian Water
Resources Association,and the Executive Director
of the Harshman Fellowships Society. Amongst
his interests are boating at his family cottage on
Georgian Bay, canoeing, golfing, baseball,
racquetball and recreational and long-distance
cycling. |
